There seems to be a general confidence in many that listening to the preacher on Sundays will give everything they need to know about God.
Unfortunately, this isn’t always true.
That’s because the lessons on Sundays are directed primarily at Christians. Some lessons may address issues that you as a visitor might appreciate and be affected by… but other lessons may require background knowledge or address the current climate in the church.
That can prove confusing or alienating for a visitor. The great news is that we offer heaps of opportunity for one-on-one study and discussion.
Here’s a bunch of suggested topics that might be of interest to you.
Suggested study topics
- Is the bible just a bunch of old fables?
- What’s heaven supposed to be like?
- God’s character: really stern, or really mushy?
- Why don’t you have a guy in a robe? With a tall hat?
- True or false: There’s no such thing as truth, just your version of things.
- What's baptism, and why do I need to be saved?
We welcome other topics you have in mind. We don’t promise to have all the answers, but half the fun is finding things out together.
